At U.S. Sugar, our commitment to the communities we call home is rooted in supporting the well-being of our neighbors in every aspect of life. On Wednesday, October 28, U.S. Sugar employees wore pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, coming together to honor survivors, remember loved ones lost and support those facing breast cancer.

For many members of our U.S. Sugar family, this cause is personal. Breast cancer has touched the lives of employees, family members, friends and neighbors. Wearing pink offered a simple, visible way to show that they have a community standing beside them while raising awareness about the importance of early detection.

This year, U.S. Sugar is proud to support Pink Warriors at Hendry Regional Medical Center, continuing our longstanding commitment to our local hospital and women’s health. Over the years, that commitment has included helping lead fundraising efforts to purchase a new mammography machine, improving access to important screening services close to home.

Community support helps Pink Warriors turn awareness into access to care. Since 2017, the Pink Warrior Fund had invested nearly $250,000 as of October 2025 to help uninsured and underinsured women receive mammograms, screenings and biopsies. U.S. Sugar also joined the community’s fundraising efforts in 2025, offering scenic train rides to benefit local breast health services.

These efforts reflect a commitment that extends beyond October: caring for the people and families who make our communities strong.

Thank you to every employee who wore pink and helped bring attention to this important cause. Together, we honor those affected by breast cancer and support the local organizations working to make care more accessible to our friends and neighbors.
