U.S. Sugar Employees Provide Food Donations Across Hendry, Palm Beach and Glades Counties
Clewiston, FL – Continuing an annual holiday tradition, U.S. Sugar employees once again came together during this season of gratitude with families, first responders, city employees and other community partners to provide food across South Florida. Ahead of Thanksgiving, U.S. Sugar donated 5,000 turkeys, hundreds of bags of sugar, and more than 100 crates of sweet corn to thousands throughout Palm Beach, Hendry and Glades counties.
“Our employees work hard every day to produce food for millions of Americans, and during the holidays, we cherish the opportunity to contribute directly to those living in our local communities,” said Brannan Thomas, U.S. Sugar Community Relations Director. “This year, we are proud to provide turkeys, bags of sugar and fresh vegetables to thousands in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas.”
“Our Glades communities are blessed to have such generous support from community partners like U.S. Sugar, especially during the holiday season,” said Rick Seymour, Chairman of the Palm Beach County Sherriff’s Foundation. “We appreciate U.S. Sugar’s support in our efforts to provide local families with meals this holiday season.”
Over the past two weeks, U.S. Sugar provided turkeys to not only its employees, but also firefighters, and law enforcement officers, city and county staff, church members, and representatives of other charitable organizations in Glades, Hendry and Palm Beach counties.
Sharing food with our neighbors is one of the many ways we show our gratitude for the people who make our region such a special place to call home.”

- Palm Beach County: More than 300 turkeys were donated to public servants and residents in South Bay, Belle Glade and Pahokee. We provided locally grown sweet corn at distribution sites in the Glades. - Glades County: Nearly 300 turkeys for Glades County law enforcement and public servants, and residents of Moore Haven.
“We are proud to call these communities home and provide food during the holiday season,” added Thomas. “Sharing food with our neighbors is one of the many ways we show our gratitude for the people who make our region such a special place to call home.”
