Our commitment to community outreach is grounded in action. Through thousands of employee volunteer hours, charitable contributions and strong civic involvement, U.S. Sugar works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors.
We actively support youth athletics, local schools and community events. From sponsoring Little League teams to mentoring students and coaching sports, our employees are engaged and enthusiastic community members. We donate school supplies, uniforms and more—helping kids grow, play and thrive. One of our favorite employee traditions? Partnering with camps to serve sno-cones that make summer days even sweeter.
Helping Students Thrive
At U.S. Sugar, we believe every student should have the tools they need for success during the school year. As part of our ongoing support for public education, our back-to-school drive provides school uniforms and thousands of backpacks filled with supplies to students throughout the South Florida region.
Our commitment to education extends to educators and their classrooms. We’re proud to participate in the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County’s Red Apple Supplies program. This initiative gives teachers access to free classroom resources and no-cost supplies for their students.
Critical Support for Medical Centers
Building strong communities starts by ensuring access to quality healthcare. We’re focused on helping hospitals and medical centers in Hendry County by providing funding for crucial upgrades, including heart monitors, pediatric facility needs, and, most recently, five new hospital beds for Hendry Regional Medical Center.
In partnership with local leaders, construction is underway on a new amphitheater at the Janet B. Taylor Community Tree Park in Harlem, Florida. It will provide a welcoming space to gather, celebrate and enjoy events. The project builds on our longstanding commitment to supporting the people and places that make South Florida home.
U.S. Sugar is a proud sponsor of the Clewiston Sugar Festival, an annual event celebrating the end of the sugarcane harvest season.
Held in America’s sweetest town, the free event features performances by nationally known musical acts, food booths, arts and crafts, children’s activities, a dessert contest and more.
The event dates to the 1930s and attracts thousands of residents and visitors every year.
