CLEWISTON, Fla. – About two dozen students hit the books this summer as part of the Clewiston Public Library’s Summer Reading Program sponsored by U.S. Sugar.

Students entering third through fifth grades took part in the six-week program to improve their reading skills going into the new school year.

As part of graduating from the program, the students received backpacks filled with school supplies provided by U.S. Sugar. The company also treated them to a field trip to Lion Country Safari in Loxahatchee.
